Battleship Two Player – Pass-and-Play Fleet Duel
Battleship Two Player is classic naval combat for two humans sharing one screen. Each side gets an auto-placed 8×8 fleet (4/3/3/2). Take turns clicking the enemy grid; hit, miss, and sink until one fleet is gone.

About this game
This is same-device hot-seat play, not online multiplayer. Fleets are placed randomly with no overlap. After each shot a pass prompt hides the board so the next player does not peek. A ship sinks when every cell is hit; sink the whole enemy fleet to win.
Controls
| Player | Keys |
|---|---|
| Player 1 / Player 2 | Click a cell on the enemy grid to fire; pass the device on the prompt between turns |
| Both | New Game or R re-rolls both fleets and starts a fresh pass-to-P1 gate |
Common use cases
- Settle a strategy duel on one laptop without accounts or downloads.
- Teach kids Battleship with clear hit, miss, and sink feedback.
- Play a quiet couch match by passing one phone or tablet.
Tips
- Fire in a checkerboard pattern first to maximize coverage of long ships.
- After a hit, probe the four adjacent cells before spraying random shots.
- Remember ship lengths 4, 3, 3, and 2 when an enemy ship nearly fits a gap.
